I’ve been playing for years, but lately it feels like levels are algorithmically tuned so that unless you buy boosters/extra moves, you’re stuck for ages. I’m seeing boards that give zero useful drops for 10–15 moves, then suddenly everything opens up right after I lose (or when I’m about to buy). It honestly feels like some kind of AI/ML difficulty management is in play.
- Same level can swing from unwinnable to suspiciously perfect in one run.
- Timed boosters and “almost there!” prompts pop up exactly when I’m 1–2 moves short.
- Without spending, I’m burning dozens of lives on what used to be mid-tier levels.
Is anyone else noticing this?
If you’ve found consistent non-pay strategies (start patterns, color-bomb habits, blockers to prioritise, quitting early to reshuffle, etc.), please share. I’m happy to be proven wrong, but right now it feels like the game is pushing purchases way harder than before.
