Why is it so hard to collect candies in the candy box?

I noticed that in order to collect candies to fill the box, you have to collect A LOT of them, which can take days(if you're lucky). Now that I need one last candy filled, I have to "Activate boosters while playing a level". This is the first time I have ever had this option. What exactly does it mean?? I would appreciate any feedback soon, before my "limit" time runs out. Thanks!

This means using any in-level booster (not just a hammer or a switch hand). Timed in-level boosters are counted. The UFO that's included in the extra moves offer after failing a level won't be counted, though.

It sounds like the task is to activate boosters while in a level. This may be using them from your inventory for example using a lollipop hammer.
