The reason I ask is because I myself just started a new account and I also have this problem. I have opened the app store on my iPad, so I know this is working. I am able to purchase extra moves but I cannot access the store to buy anything with gold bars or money:
This is unlike any connection problem I have ever previously encountered: All the events including the live leaderboard Palooza event are functioning correctly and my game is clearly connected to King's server. Therefore I am intrigued by this problem and I do hope it will get resolved, or else all my 417 gold bars will go wasted.
So I'm sorry I cannot help you, but I would be curious if maybe you are part of the same test group. I started playing the account this week and my jelly fish glow when they smash candies.
