After the Platinum Pins are completed, you have to wait as usual.
Last time there was only one extra set. After that, no more. I suspect this time will be the same.
I am fortunate enough to still have the old, easier to get chocolate boxes - I don't know why, since everyone else seems to have moved to the new ones that often require new levels. So I did 3 episodes (45 levels) and also filled 6 chocolate boxes along the way, and that was enough to complete the first pin set. Which is crazy easy. I noticed that it seemed to give me significantly less duplicates this time than in previous pin collections.
I did one more episode race and 2 more chocolate boxes today and I now have 29/81 of the platinum pins toward the 120 gold bar prize. Still going through them really fast.
Edit: Upon further reflection, I think I actually did another 4 episodes since pins started, so it took 7 episodes. I lost track and didn't realize how much I've moved forward this week, since I had fallen back from the end of the map. And 4 more episodes probably means 8 or so additional chocolate boxes.
It feels like old times doing so many new levels in a single week!
Now this is really encouraging, how many levels did you complete in order to finish the first pin cycle. I'm moving at a very slow rate I'm sure I'll miss the second platinum pin. Also, does it mean there will be another set when you finish the set
One bit of good news for those who might be wondering: platinum pins are available, so that helps a little. I just finished the regular set - it kept being so generous with new pins for me!
They keep ruining this game I might just as well quit at this point
