King has been fiddling with the playing field recently. They have vertically widened the bar at the top of the playing field, and vertically widened the bar at the bottom of the playing field. And they have also added more space between these bars and any icons or playing "pieces" that appear in the playing field. In order to do all this, they have had to make the the actual icons/pieces that you manipulate in the playing field smaller. Now, I'm a 75-year-old man, and I have been paying King $40 to $60 a month for the privilege of playing this game. But my eyesight is not as good as it used to be, and playing the game by manipulating smaller icons has turned out to be very uncomfortable. Given that computer monitors used to be taller than they are these days (having all been made wide and short like movie screens), to reduce the icons in a game which can be played only in portrait mode, and which is already too small, strikes me as terribly foolish. What they SHOULD be doing is manipulating the space they have available to maximize it in every way so that the icons/pieces are as large as possible. I am pretty certain that these playing field changes occurred just in the last month.
Because I've been spending too much money on this game, I've been looking for a reason to stop playing it, and this may be it. I already own a Solitaire game which has about 50 different solitaire versions in it. I played that game for a decade before I discovered CCS, and I can go back to it — and it doesn't cost me any money to play it since I own it.
