once again how do I get the licorice to drop from at least a couple of the dispensers, please? Once the little dinosaurs are done shouldn't the licorice drop? Thank you
Thanks for posting that screenshot @hugyourdog. Sometimes keys can be slow to drop, but I notice that in theory now we have the jelly fish you don't actually need to open those boxes. Have you tried concentrating on using jelly fish to get the licorice? If you hit those licorice when the dragons are just above the exits on the right and left the level can be passed without opening the boxes. My guess would be that a lucky board would give you a colour bomb or wrap + jelly fish combo or lots of fish. Watch out for any chance to make a jelly fish + wrap combo. That would really help at that stage.
thank you very much. What about the keys in the level I'm on now? There aren't any others on the board and I deliberately tried to get just 1 to drop. Took 4. times.
I notice that you have finally passed the music level. Did you get some luck with that one or did you give in and pay?
You need to clear any licorice on the board as quickly as possible as often none will drop if there is still some on the board. After clearing licorice there is a delay in which none drops. This is a certain number of moves specific for each level. After this time you need to clear as many candies as possible underneath the dispensers to make as much licorice as possible drop and try to clear it as quickly as you can to repeat the process.
On this particular level I found that playing a party popper as a first move plus all three starting boosters including lucky candy was useful to pass. However, I went on trying with only the two starting boosters and got a lucky board on my 8th attempt without much thought, mostly playing the hinted moves.
I find that it helps to look at the difficulty labels now, since these are now quite accurate and rarely change. If the label says "legendary" or "nightmarish" then you will probably have to pay gold to pass, as there will be no lucky board for many, many attempts. If the label is "super hard" such as in this case, then eventually after several attempts there will be a lucky board, at least for those playing starting boosters. The "hard" labeled levels will allow half the players to pass on their first attempt and half will get stuck on those. Sometimes you might get lucky on your second attempt on those. Levels with no skull labels would normally be passable on a first attempt with starting boosters if you play the best moves available. Sometimes they put one in to catch you out but they should be possible to pass on a retry.
Of course these are not written in stone and often after a particularly hard or impossible level the next "legendary" one lets you pass as well. What is written in stone is that the game determines this.
I forgot the photo. How do I get the licorice to drop, please? Once the little dinosaurs are done shouldn't the licorice drop from the dispensers?

Anyone else have an issue with the booster wheel not letting you spin? Mine says come back in xxx hours for the next spin, but the next spin never comes. I am so stuck on level 7280 and I need some booster help!!
