Chocolate Box new level wins only

Hi.. I have been playing Candy Crush Saga for 14 years.. can challenge myself by playing and adjusting my game play to make wins on the Chocolate box if I don’t win the race.. kept it fun and interesting.. But with the recent change.. only level wins add to my count. Making the last week a very boring game.. I will keep checking but if it’s not going to change back with much sadness this will be my final year.. fingers are crossed.. thanks for the fun times Candy team xx

Today's chocolate box was the old style but I want to have both the new fourth chocolate tasks for the Silver and Gold levels and the ability to use old levels for the color tasks at the same time. The color tasks in new level wins could preferably be given only in some cases when you reach the third chocolate.

Another good solution is to make color tasks in new level wins be progressable within Star Tournament as going forward I will only have new levels on the map once per week (Specifically on Wednesdays) and I do all of them in a single day (Last Week's levels were done within the day they were released)

hope they change it back. That’s just another reason to quit this game. How greedy can one app get?

I’ve passed all your feedback on to the team, and they’re aware that this version of the Chocolate Box has been frustrating for players who used to rely on it as a way to keep progressing when stuck.

Hi @Vickistar there isn't a lot I can say in response to your comment as I can't tell you if the Chocolate Box will return to the way it used to be.

I find your post interesting though as I have started to ponder why it is everyone hates the new Chocolate Box so much.

You have played for fourteen years, so that means you have played the game without the Chocolate Box for longer than you have had the Chocolate Box. As you have played the game for so long why not play as if it weren't there as you used to.

For many weeks I practically stopped playing Candy Crush and only opened my game to send lives to people. The only playing I did was to play old levels to fill some of the Chocolate Boxes.

Due to the Chocolate Box change I have tried playing new levels again and like you I find the game and Chocolate Box boring now. This is odd I feel as collecting coloured candy meant that I used to play an old level repeatedly.

I think this is what King has forgotten. People like to play the game at their own pace and in their own style. The constant changes aimed at making us play new levels (timed boosters, time limited features and rewards for playing new levels only) has sucked the fun and individuality out of the game.

@QueenB There has been an overwhelming voice of anger and despair in this community about this change in the chocolate box, with complaints spread out over a number of different threads.

This thread has the best header naming the one change that players hate so much, so I will add my spin on this. Making chocolate box tasks "new wins only" means that players who are stuck in the game cannot progress through the chocolate box any more. In the past we used to advise such players to use the Season Pass and Chocolate box to collect gold and boosters to get back on their feet so that they can continue with their games, taking a break from playing new levels. This was one of the options I used to advise players on when they posted here about being stuck on an impossible level.

Now this option is no longer available and players stuck in the game can do just two things: Either quit playing or pay money to play. I am actually rather sad that I now so often end up advising players to uninstall the app. Changes like this one are to blame. It is a change that was never discussed in any official feedback thread or poll, it was thrust upon players from above and nobody here likes it. Perhaps there is still a chance for the powers that run the game to turn back on this. It is the single worst change that has been made in 2025. There needs to be some way for players who are either stuck or enjoy replaying older levels to continue to enjoy playing Candy Crush. King cannot continually want to replace the entire player base year after year. My only suggestion to players stuck now is to start a brand new game or quit Candy Crush. Is that really what King want players to do?
