No. The connection to King's server is not the same as being connected to the internet. The connection is established via the app store in Apple devices. I am not so sure how this works for other devices but it will be similar. In your screenshots you had lost that connection.
But the connection already exists
This is something I have experienced in the past week as well. There seems to now be a difference in what is possible to do and what is not possible to do when we have lost connection to King's server. It used to be a lot more obvious that we lost connection. King apparently made some changes to how the game works this week that mean we can play and play and never realise that we are not connected to the server. And we can now pay gold bars to pay for extra moves when we have lost connection, but we cannot access the shop or buy anything from our inventory.
It is getting harder and harder to figure out when we are connected and when we have lost connection. Checking the shop will load is the best indicator at the moment.
You can get extra moves but not boosters. Disgrace😂🥸😤
