Why?? What would be the purpose? It's annoying!
Interesting on windows there was no X.It looked nothing like yours just had a box in the middle of the screen.
I have run the test today to see if it is true that we cannot log into our games unless we verify the email. I have this account with an email address I cannot access, so I thought I would try loading it:
So there is the green X at the top right. I click on that and this is what I see:
No worries it seems, I can still play and get a nice welcome back gift as well:
If I go into My Account there is no X button, but there is the option to "remind me later".
This is on iPhone.
I had to verify mine also. I have been playing this game for about 13 years and all of a sudden it asked me the same. I couldn't log into the game on windows until I verified. Don't know why king decided I needed to do that.
Have you tried ignoring the message? I got it too but ignored it and it did not affect my game. I only saw it once when I logged back into my original game on a new device.
I think the purpose is to stop players from using other people's emails or a made-up email to open an account. However in my experience it makes no difference if we verify our emails or not.
