How is that even possible?! I've been stuck on level 7039 for so long and when I finally get to win, the last dragon won't show up till the last move!

Haha, ya makes it really hard to start again. Hoping there is a point where they sorta settle just a wee bit on the mad changes.
I got another new version this week with 17 moves. I mostly got 15 move versions in the weeks before.
It turned out the two extra moves didn't make the level easier, as the algorithms for the first few attempts were new and still designed to fail. This new game has the new whooshy jelly fish and a lot of the algorithms are unfamiliar to me: Far fewer wrap+ stripe or any combos. I find myself pushing candies around aimlessly until a shoal of fish appear to do their job. I think they are (still/again) using new starters as guinea pigs. It's quite unsettling. @PyroFunk
Actually for quite awhile some players were getting 15. I first had it 6 or so months ago, and many others got it starting in October or November. What overall percentage of the players ended up with this version is unknown, though it really ramped up in Oct/Nov.
The 16 moves is actually a fix that started to come out for players ~2 weeks ago but people are still getting the 15 move version depending on the group you are in. They could also be getting a completely different version as well.
If a player has 16 moves in this level, it should have one move left after the last dragon appears
This also happens on level 114. On level 114 the game will help players eventually to both drop and clear the dragon on that final move. Perhaps level 7039 can produce a similar miracle. But I guess the logical answer is to pay gold for some extra moves. Many levels in the game are not possible to pass now and require gold bars to pass.

I got a new phone and signed in with Facebook. Started me back at level 1. No matter what I tried it wouldn't put me back to my proper level which was near 4000. Then trying to sort it from old phone I have now brought old phone back to level 1. Help please
