I need to synch my iphone to my ipad for Candy Crush - worried about losing iphone progress :)

I have played candy crush on my iphone a long time. I recently got an ipad and want to sync progress. I initially created a login with my apple account on my iphone. When I tried to login with that account on the ipad, it started as a new account on the ipad. I then tried an email account and that didn't seem to work either. I can get back to my original iphone account using my apple account. Is there any way I can unravel this mess without losing my progress on the iphone?

I don't have a facebook account. I created a email/King account but that didn't seem to sync. Can I have both apple and email accounts?

As soon as I got to this level it gave me an error message 'unable to win level' and kicked me out. I tried again a few times and same message. How do I get past this level? It says level needs yellow candies and no yellow candies show up so I can't even play it.
Ads that start with green line across bottom problem
Ads that start with scrolling green line across bottom and green OPEN rectangle "crash" most of the time. Only the green line ones have problem. Problem: ad plays, x appears top right corner.
