I get lots of requests for lives and send them but when I request lives I hardly get any.

I am sorry to hear that you are not getting as many lives as you request them. Unfortunately you always have to rely on the other players to answer your requests, so it is not possible to guarantee that these will get answered.
I recommend that you make friends here in the Community with some active players, so that you can get constant requests answered. I suggest that you post on the Discussion or the Off topic section to try to make some new friends to be added into your game.
