Multiplier Tokens are a feature that appears only during leaderboard events.
They allow players to temporarily boost the points they earn while competing in a tournament.
This post explains what Multiplier Tokens are, when they appear, and how they work, so you know what to expect when you see them in your game.
What are Multiplier Tokens
Multiplier Tokens temporarily increase the points you earn from eligible level wins while a leaderboard event is active.
They are designed to support short bursts of active play during tournaments and can help you move faster on the leaderboard while they are active.
When do Multiplier Tokens appear
You will only see Multiplier Tokens when:
- A leaderboard event is active
- A tournament is running
If there is no leaderboard or tournament, Multiplier Tokens will not appear.
How Multiplier Tokens work
- Multiplier Tokens are time based
- Once activated, they boost your points for a limited period of time
- You activate them from the leaderboard pop up using the multiplier button
- The countdown starts immediately after activation
- Tokens cannot be stacked or overlapped
When the timer ends, the multiplier stops automatically.
How many Multiplier Tokens do I get
Multiplier Tokens are limited for the entire tournament.
Important to know:
- The number of tokens is fixed per event
- Tokens do not refresh
- You cannot choose which token value to use
- Using a token uses it up
Because of this, timing matters and tokens should be used carefully.
Different multiplier values and testing
Some players may see different multiplier values during leaderboard events.
Depending on testing, this can include:
These differences are expected and part of feature testing. Seeing a different multiplier than another player does not mean something is wrong with your game.
Can other players see my multiplier
No.
Other players will not see when you activate a Multiplier Token.
Leaderboard positions update based on total score only.
Key things to remember
- Multiplier Tokens appear only during leaderboard events
- They are time limited and require active play
- You get a limited number per tournament
- Tokens cannot be stacked
- Multiplier values may vary due to testing
