Hello @QueenB . I am currently stuck in a game with no means to obtain any boosters unless I play a new episode. I know this episode would take a lot of boosters and gold to complete, probably more than I would gain by playing it so by my maths the best way to play is to not play at all. The account is approaching level 5000, so not at the top of the map.
I have also noted that new accounts get so few boosters from events now that it is impossible to reach level 200 without using cheating mechanisms or spending all gold obtained on buying lives.
I therefore ask the question: Is this actually intentional?
I was under the impression that the makers of Candy Crush want players to use boosters to pass levels. It is what is usually suggested by game experts and yourself in this community to players stuck on levels in the game.
We now have a situation where the only two events that gave out boosters from replaying older levels have changed so that only new levels count. However, the wording seems to not have changed:
It does not state in the instructions to the new Season Pass that these colour bombs have to be created or the purple have to be collected on new levels. But this is the case. Could this be a glitch? Do the people at King know how these events work since these recent changes were made? In the same account I also have a chocolate box that only includes candy collections on new levels:
All the events at the moment force players to either play new levels or quit playing. Judging from what I read here in the community a lot of players are so frustrated that they quit. I can also see this in my friend lists. Hardly any of the players I befriended during the last six months still play.
In addition the first 200 levels of the game are now worse than ever because there are no events this week at all, not even the Bakers Box or the Car race, just the choc box that is standard. The Meltdown event takes four episodes before it gives out any boosters, which is too late in these early levels. So new players are facing levels designed to be played using boosters, but they have no boosters and so cannot be learning how to use them properly. The level algorithms and the events are out of synch in these first 200 levels of the game. The win streak does not start until level 201, so player do not have any boosters on their opening boards. The level algorithms need to reflect this. This is what I have noted about this discrepancy: All three new player accounts this week saw the 5 minute timed UFO as their booster from the daily treat machine on their second day of playing. However two accounts were being offered this "treat" before this booster was unlocked, which happens at level 73. This cannot be intentional! Instead of a useful timed colour bomb players are given a gift they cannot access. If there are no staff a King's to test out the levels, there are at least two of us here in this community who are testing them out for free and giving our feedback here. Is this being fed back to the team? (Is there a team, or is the entire game just run by the AI now?)
My question is this: Is this all this really intentional? Do the makers of this game want players to play Candy Crush Saga or do they want everyone to just quit?
