why use muliple devices

How and why would you use multiple devices? how does this increase your score? I have made it to the the final knockouts, hopefully I will keep on going. Also I have never been asked to watch ads to receive gifts. Any advice is very appreciated. I did finally figure out to keep retrying levels if I don't win on first try, until the offer is 45 extra moves and a bonus. This usually results in 20 minutes of helps for the next level. I have played for years but took a few years off and this is my first time trying the All Stars.

4.5. Equipment:

STRICTLY NO MORE THAN FIVE DEVICES OR GAME INSTANCES MAY BE USED DURING THE TOURNAMENT PER PARTICIPANT.

Playing your game on more than one device doesn't increase your score, but it can help you to keep playing when you run out of lives on one device.

As to the why people do it is difficult to answer as I think people do it for various reasons.

I used to have my game on a mobile, tablet and a laptop and this was purely to allow me to play in different locations.

I think you might be conflating playing on different devices with playing multiple versions of the same game at the same time

Using multiple devices simultaneously is strictly against the All Stars rules. It would break the method used for scoring and probably throw players out of the event, besides that if it did work it would mean an unfair means of play, so it is not allowed. In the past some cheaters used multiple devices to score more: They could use one hand for each device or have a friend to help (also not allowed).

Otherwise there are many reasons to use more than one device. Mine would be to be easier on my fingers as I use different muscles to swipe on my iPhone than I use on my iPad, and also different posture while playing, the phone in a lounge chair and the iPad sitting at the table, which is kinder on my back. So in my final round (should I get there) I would use both devices for some variety if crushing non-stop for 24 hours. Using multiple devices one at a time does not increase anyone's scores more of course, so that is allowed.

If you have ever spent any money in the game you won't see ads in your game. Not every player gets them, it's how King run the game. You would not have time to watch any ads in the final round of All Stars by the way. It will be far too competitive to waste any time to watch a 30 second ad.
