I've lost over 80 lives. Where did my gifted lives go?

I just did a recent upgrade and all of my gifted lives are gone. Is there any way to get these back? I had over 80 saved.

Sorry @Kristenh20 if you mean that you have upgraded your device's software rather than updated the game app then there is no way of you recovering your lost lives.
