Today, Bethesda Softworks' critically acclaimed and award-winning Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, a first-person action-adventure game for Disney and Lucasfilm's Indiana Jones franchise developed by MachineGames, is now available on the Nintendo Switch 2! While this version of the game makes some technical concessions, including a reduced framerate, to run properly on Nintendo's newest gaming system, it also provides two extra motion control schemes for aiming and looking that are not available on any other console this game has been on.
Initially, having tired out of making Candy Crush Saga fan art, I only planned on making one last fan art piece that crosses Candy Crush Saga with Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, but after some thinking, I decided that it would be better that I present you six more bonus images instead of one, just to give you a better look at some of the Candy Crush Saga characters I've lined up to play roles in a parody of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.
The first image I'd like to present you was my original lone image used to celebrate the Switch 2 version's launch, and it's not exactly a pleasant one. It's Mr. Dragon as Indiana Jones getting crushed by a big color bomb boulder to end a nightmarish version of his dream flashback of his iconic retrieval of a golden fertility idol in South America, a moment you will only see in The Great Circle, as well as a funny way of reflecting the title of Candy Crush.
Next, I present you a parody of the moment Indy is about to begin his journey abroad to discover the Great Circle: when his colleague Marcus Brody, portrayed by Mr. Toffee, reluctantly hands him his fedora in Marshall College as he finishes packing up and warns him that he cannot just run from his problems.
In Egypt, Indiana Jones seeks the Idol of Ra to uncover another stone of the Great Circle, and magnate Nawal Shafiq-Barclay, portrayed by Olivia the octopus, is happy to help…if Indy can deal with her pet snake Osiris.
Of all the places Indy visits in his mission to uncover the Great Circle, China happens to be the most chaotic, as the city of Shanghai falls under attack from the Axis Powers. A lone enemy pilot confronts our hero on the blasted, deserted streets of the city with nothing but a broken sword, but for Indy here, he knows just what to do if Raiders of the Lost Ark was of any indication.
Eventually, Indy must confront a final foe to protect the Great Circle from being misused by the Axis Powers: one of its esteemed expert archaeologists, Emmerich Voss, portrayed by Bubblegum Troll. After he strips Indy of his weapons at gunpoint, the two eventually agree to settle their beef at close quarters.
Prior to this final encounter, if Indy was inquisitive enough to find almost all of the ancient relics, he could solve a giant puzzle nearby that opens a vault with one stunning revelation about the Great Circle: that Antarctica has more than something to do with it. It turns out to be where the giant Locus, portrayed by Mr. Yeti, guided Noah's Ark to when it was empowered by the Circle's stones, and it is believed that he is alive and well there after Indy has taken care of Voss in the final battle aboard the Ark.
I hope you enjoyed seeing these special art pieces that connect one Xbox game to another in albeit a silly, comical way, and would like your thoughts on this wonderful fan art series as I finally bring it to a more proper close. I hope you found my choice of Candy Crush characters to play the parts of Great Circle's story interesting. And, to boot, I've also managed to come up with a good Candy Crush Saga themed parody of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle; can you guess what it is?
