Is there going to be no "Meet the finalists" in this community @QueenB ?
All I see is this :
Final starts in one day, 12 hours and 50 minutes.
Who is going to be in this final? Some of us would quite like to know.
In Candy Crush, everything seems to be live, but it is recording actually. If you’re senior player of this game, you should not be surprised of that. King can play, pause, fast forward the footage whenever they want. The official wants players cheering the finalists next week, but the result has already appeared this week actually 😂
I popped in today, not been playing or following, but noticed the date and wanted to see who the finalists are and if there is any update on winners and/or progress. Am I surprised by any of this, nope, Candy Crush/Microsoft just want us to keep playing and spending. It's not like any of us are/were invested in this tournament. Very sad but not surprising at all 😞
In any case, wishing the best for our fellow community members and all the participants.
That does seem odd. If King changed the date it would mean them breaking the tournament terms and conditions. Besides QueenB said the tournament dates have not changed.
I agree that the above screenshot is hugely misleading. What is the definition of "live from London"? I've never known a TV programme to claim it's "live" coverage when it's a recording from days earlier. I think King have created their own definition of word "live" here. I'm pretty speechless.
Indeed the best of luck to our fellow community member finalists!! @GiggzZz @aaronthewinner @candylua @itsamiraCole I hope you all have a wonderful time! 💍🍬
Though, I will say, I find it very odd that the Official Candy Crush Facebook and Insta accounts keep saying there will be LIVE commentary from London on the 12th Something is not adding up…
Hi @christinewupp
This is a lovely gesture, and I really appreciate you taking the time to share it 🤗
You don’t need permission to support each other or wish others well. That kind of encouragement is part of what makes this community special.
I can’t confirm anything before the official reveal, but I’m very happy to see players cheering each other on.
Good luck to everyone involved in All Stars 🤩
I am very disappointed that we are unable to cheer on the finalists this year and so be part of the All Stars finals in this community. I really do think this is a slap in the face for us. But well, I'll do it without King's blessing then @QueenB
Let us assume that the members of this community who topped their groups are in it, as we haven't seen them post here to say otherwise, and I know from reactions that at least one of them has read this thread.
So this is my message to the finalists:
Good luck to you all!
Last year I was cheering for Tiago, naturally, but this year, being the only year in goodness-how-many, my fingers are crossed for Lua! Question: When does a player from Brazil ever get a chance to win All Stars? Answer: Once in a blue moon when it's held in London. (For anyone who doesn't know: the USA visa requirement automatically excludes Brazilians from live finals held in the US)
So I wish you particularly the very best of luck @candylua !
And good luck @GiggzZz and @aaronthewinner and everyone else:
Have fun in London! 🎉🌦️🎡🏗️🍾🇬🇧
I completely agree 👏👏👏
@christinewupp Yeah, it's sad. For an event that is already controversial for being pay-to-win, forcing unhealthy playing patterns (not just in spending but in sleep schedules too), where nobody is on an even playing field…
It's even sadder to see that the one part that is supposed to be "fair", the live finale, is also just another piece of their completely untransparent way of doing things this year.
Though how transparent is a live finale where every year the (same) finalists who had some of the craziest high scores in FK3, suddenly score terribly when they don't have access to their money and "playing skills". But I guess that's a rant for another time.
Now here we are. An active, caring community. And instead of letting us share in the hype in real time, you hold everything back just so you can release a statement and a video once the last bits and pieces have been manipulated to your liking.
Sorry for the vent, but man… even the smallest things they could do for us, the tiniest bit of fairness, the slightest hint of transparency, they just don't.
Haha! So a few hours after I've posted the above screenshot they've changed it! Well spotted @BarbsMony ! That's what I call a quick response. What a joke!
So this is it:
All Stars completes the way the event was run from start to finish: King really do think they can manipulate time, and that we are too stupid to notice.
Thanks for the questions everyone.
To clarify, the Live Final date has not changed. June 12th is the date when the public broadcast and YouTube watch-along will go live.
Finalist information will be shared on June 8th through the official Candy Crush social channels and the All Stars site. We’ll also share the update here in the community once it’s live.
This year, the finalist reveal is being handled a little differently and closer to the Live Final broadcast. I know some of you enjoyed being able to cheer on the finalists earlier in previous years, and I understand why this feels like a missed community moment.
I also hear the feedback about the community wanting to feel more included around moments like this. I’ll make sure that’s shared with the team.
For now, please keep an eye out for the update on June 8th, when more details about the finalists and their journeys will be shared.
Weirdly enough, the countdown when I went to the website just now, is set to 7 days from now? So June 8th at 3pm UK Time??? Even though the dates are still 3-6… @QueenB
Wait so… am I misunderstanding? Why does "watch along" read as if it is being Live Streamed? If so, have the events dates been changed from 3-6 June to 11-13 June? With the announcement of the finalists on June 8th rather than today June 1st? If that is the case may we know what led to a change in dates? Or…
Hear hear. Well said @christinewupp.
Why the change do you know, @QueenB? Aren’t all the people who invested their time and sometimes money competing entitled to know in advance who the finalists are? Not only could we wish them luck as Christine said but it inspires other people to post and get involved in discussions. It would have reinvigorated the Community, even for a short time, as we’ve seen in previous years. It needs something to get people interested in posting again.
Yes, it's different indeed. So we won't find out who made it until the winner has been crowned.
I guess they didn't like us posting our final round screenshots and trying to work out who was who last year.
It's a shame because it means we can't wish them luck like we did in previous years.
It's a slap in the face of this community. Sorry, but there really is no point asking us what we would like to see changed in the community:
This community is dead.
Thanks for asking! I know we are all curious to find out who the All Stars finalists are 😃
Finalist information will be revealed through the official Candy Crush social channels and the All Stars site on June 8th. Once that update is live, I’ll also share it here in the community.
Players will also be able to watch along on YouTube on June 12th, so more details will be shared then too.
I know this is a little different from last year, but for now we need to wait for the official reveal and I’ll make sure the community gets the update once it’s available 😉
