Hey, Crushers!
If you know me, I did say earlier that I planned to retire from Candy Crush Saga art on January 1, 2026.
That, however, did not go as planned. Not when I still had some extra art ideas left. Including extra art pieces about my crazy crossover between Candy Crush Saga and Bethesda Softworks' Indiana Jones and the Great Circle for its Nintendo Switch 2 port.
But in the meantime, I then came up with a new plan to retire from Candy Crush art…and it's to transition from making fan art of Denize and her friends to making artwork of a very original non-Candy Crush character who somewhat looks like her! Yes, you heard that right, I finally came up with a fascinating original fictional character inspired by our beloved Denize!
"And who might that be?" you may be asking. Ladies and gentlemen, it's about time that I unveil my brand-new original character, Sue the sea serpent!
This beautiful beast is over 100 feet long, has spikes and spots all over her, and can capsize ships with remarkable strength. And she has a big mouth! But in spite of all this, Sue is actually a herbivore! Her diet comprises a variety of plants of fruits, whether they be under the sea or on land - and her most favorite food of all is coconuts. She can seize one from a palm tree like a giraffe and crush it to pieces with her powerful jaws - and she loves them as much as Denize would like eating zongzi. And yes, she's amphibious and can survive on land or underwater, due to her powerful lungs, which can allow her to hold her breath for hours!
When she sunbathes, her spotted scaly skin can capture solar energy and convert it into bioluminescence, making her green spots grow brightly in the dark of the deep or the night! All of the seven seas of our planet are Sue's playground, and she is a passionate environmentalist, in addition to occasionally showing off her goofy side. If she were to exist for real, you would think twice about polluting the ocean.
With all that being said, I would now like to announce that I now have a new plan to retire from Candy Crush art for good - retire on June 23, 2026, Denize's birthday, so that I can celebrate it one last time! Are you excited with my new plan, @QueenB , my new original character and my future as a fan artist?
