(iOS 26.5) Soccer Season startscreen is displayed, but game cannot be started / start button not responsive š¤Appstore: no update available/ phone reset done but not successful ā¹ļøDon't want to de-/ reinstall - what else can be done?

No @Powi the Play button issue mentioned by QueenB is an ongoing issue that isn't related to the Soccer Season event. It wasn't clear from your original post if you thought the Soccer Season event should start when you press play, or you were just having trouble with the Play button.
The Play button is the one that most people see when they first open their game and before they see their map
It isn't clear from your post if you pressed Play and your game opened only to freeze when the Soccer Season pop-up appeared.
Pop-ups freezing the game is another ongoing issue.
So it works as designed? No participation in Candy Crush for 48h? (issue started 7th and lasts til 9th June) š¤
The Soccer Season event doesn't start until the 9th June @Powi so there is that to consider.
Do not uninstall your app to try and fix any issue that you have with the game.

Just to double-check, is the issue that the Soccer Season start screen appears, but the Play button does not react when you tap it? Like this issue here:
