New Annoying Feature - Special Candy

I’ve been playing since the beginning currently only level 18791 and this is the first time I’m considering quitting. The new feature tap-to-activate special candy feature causes accidental activations and makes the game too easy, takes away some of the strategic planning and is just so annoying. Is this permanent?? Is there a way to disable it?

Thanks for the update @CrazyCatLadyHere. Just one tap seems odd to me has how can you combine two special candies if tapping one sets it off?

You are right you aren't the only player that doesn't like the new tap to activate mechanism.

hi @Alienscar ! No, it’s ONE tap to activate. And there is nothing in the settings unfortunately, so the forum was my next step (after AI lol). I understand I’m not the only disgruntled one, so hopefully they’ll get the message and remove it. Thank you!

Hello @CrazyCatLadyHere the new tap to activate mechanism is just part of yet another test that King are conducting on the game. I haven't got this feature yet so don't know if there is a way for you to disable it. If there is a way it will be in your Settings, so check there.

Do you not have to double tap a special candy in order to activate it?

It is too early to say if this feature will be permanent as not many players have seen this feature yet. I believe that Soda has this mechanism as a permanent feature though.
