Dear Candy Crush Community,
I am curious to hear from players who started playing Candy Crush in the 2000s and feel that the game has changed significantly over the years. Does anyone else feel that it has shifted from being a fun source of entertainment to becoming increasingly focused on encouraging in-app purchases?
Recently, I have noticed a few things that have been frustrating. For example, I purchased a Party Booster, which has traditionally been enough to help complete a level with the remaining moves. Lately, however, it feels as though the game is designed so that a single booster is often not enough, leaving you needing to make another purchase to finish the level. I started noticing this after I became a regular purchaser of in-game items.
I have also had the impression that when you accumulate and save boosters, they seem to disappear more quickly than expected, making it difficult to build up a reserve.
I am interested in hearing whether others have had similar experiences or if I am interpreting these changes incorrectly. How are you managing this? I feel like I am losing sight of what made the game enjoyable in the first place.
Could these changes be related to the competitive events and millionaire-style competitions? Whatever the reason, I hope the developers remember that many of us play Candy Crush to relax and have fun. It would be great to see the game remain enjoyable without players feeling pressured to make repeated purchases.
I would love to hear your thoughts.
