No exit for Heywise ads

Question

Has anyone had problems exiting the Heywise ads for either boosters or extra moves?  The ad plays but it does not give an "X" option to exit the ad and so I need to clear everything and start the game over when my few extra moves could have won the game.

I’m having the same problem will all adverts not letting me exit by Rewards Granted! I’m losing gold bars by the dozen as this is the only way I can progress without adds. And the screen locks up. Further more I have to restart my iPad to play again. Very frustrating. I’ve played for years

Please have Candy crush fix this. They should also reimburse us whatever we lost plus for the trouble and time wasted waiting for the x to appear, googling the fix trying their fixes, and now writing! We're not beta testers.

I've also been having this issue, and I've tried all the solutions below, and the issue still persists. I believe it is a problem on hey wise's end, rather than King's, however frustrating it may be.
