Update by CM: We’ve reported this feedback to the studio team. The visual effects mentioned in this thread appear to be part of a feature currently being tested.

We’ve shared your comments about the flashing effects, moving backgrounds, and the request for an option to reduce or turn them off, especially for players who find them uncomfortable or distracting.

We don’t have more information to share just yet, but we’ll keep this thread updated if we hear more.

How do I turn off the background visual effects that started showing up today? I never saw those before they’re very disconcerting. I like the game, but I don’t like those effects and I didn’t see how to turn them off in settings.

I read the answer about this being a test. And I'd like to add my opinion. It's horrible and takes away from gameplay. Hopefully it will be gone soon.

I have also sent a complaint to player support about it.

I will not play any new levels on the affected accounts and would urge others not to play either. The best feedback for any test feature you don't like is to quit playing. That will send the clearest message to the computer programme running the test.

Very hard to play the game with the words flashing up, I turned the sounds and music off because it was annoying,now this.
ALSO, where is the full screen button, I have to shrink my screen so I can see the full board? It dissapeared yesterday. Why do updates if they arent good.

I’m not sure how to respond to a comment but someone asked if I could take a screenshot and I have no clue as to how to do that. One of the responses show shows what’s happening. I also play with sound and music off and this new dimension is very unsettling.

Let me butt in here @QueenB . I have just opened one of my accounts for the first time today and am getting this as well .

It is AWFUL!

Please make it stop ASAP! This is enough to turn anyone away from the game.

This one is even worse and very hard to capture with a screenshot as it flashes up and disappears super quick. This would be enough to give someone with epilepsy a seizure I think:

I play with sound turned off. I hate the music, I hate the voice. I do that for a reason. We don't need this forced on us if we want to relax!

Perhaps I'm a bit sensitive or neurodivergent, I don't know, but this pop-up just won't do for anyone like me. I for one cannot play like that.

Please make it go away!

oh how I hate these new effects.
I thought I was getting notifications from outside the app first couldn’t understand why it was flashing so much. It’s annoying.

You recently introduced a new effect where the entire game board shakes or moves every time the pieces (or candies) collide.

Until now, this game has always been very relaxing for me, but this new animation is extremely distracting and honestly quite unpleasant. It actually makes me feel a bit nauseous when I have to watch the screen constantly.

I would really appreciate it if you could remove this effect or at least add an option to disable it and restore the original, stable game board. Thank you for considering this feedback.
