Hi, I was unable to open Candy Crush. Tried all the suggestions. Restart the phone, force stop the App. Finally uninstalled the App. When I reinstalled the App, it went back to the beginning. I've been playing for years. All's gone.

I am so sorry to hear that you were experiencing an issue with your game and you have reinstalled the game App because of that!π
Can you please explain what you meant by "unable to open the game"? What was happening when you try to open it?
Did you check if you are logged into the game or logged out? In King Saga games, when we are logged out, the game automatically starts us at level # 1, and the Gold bars will be shown as 0! But, even after signing back in, you will find that all your boosters & lives has become 0 - the side affect of deleting the App!
Please let me know if you have any further questions and/or still finding yourself at level # 1.
