No that is not your only option. The Caramel Cup only takes place over the weekend, so you have the option of not playing over the weekend to avoid the Caramel Cup.

Hi Team, I won the last 2 episode races (i have a photo of my current 24 win streak if you need it). Both times I have not received the gold bars. The first time I let it go as I had won some bars from another feature instead. I took a photo of the 2nd race win showing me at the finish line for level 13190. The 2 free spins were credited for finishing, i have a photo of that too, and only 1 gold bar after the win! Are you able to credit my account please? Thanks, Lindsay

Settings → Account & Help → Help Center → choose the relevant topic → scroll down → Contact Us / Chat With Us.

Hi my friend sorry to hear this it can sometimes an issue within the game.
Please try the following lets see if it helps 💓
Force close apps and restart your device.
Check that you have the latest game and device updates
You need a strong connection wi fi is better and at least 2gig of free memory then clear the game cache as overloaded cache can create issues
Android: Settings > Apps > Candy Crush Soda > Storage > Clear Cache
iOS: Settings > Safari > Clear History and Website Data

It looks like you have a new weekend Episode Race format called the Caramel Cup @LynJP . Several versions exist, but the most common one requires winning three races in a row, after which you can claim 100 gold.

So basically you need to punish those who are doing well, so others can win. Then you make it to where ai can no longer win, much less even go forward. I’ve been stuck and can’t move forward. So our only option is to just quit and delete the game?

Hello @BoPeep1960 over the weekend a new version of the Episode/Champions Race called the Caramel Cup takes place. If you have this in your game then you have to win three Episode Races before you can claim any gold.

There is also a version of the Caramel Cup that only reward players with boosters instead of gold.

Yes! I am having the same problem. I would not have played the way I did if I was not expecting the gold bars to help with the next levels. Now, I am completely stuck. I thought maybe I missed something and actually came in second, but I confirmed on my profile that I won my last race. When they fix it, I hope they give us the bars we earned.
