Kindle Fire 8 12th Generation Won't install

I had a notification that Candy Crush needed to be updated manually. I forgot about it and deleted the game from my Kindle. I went to the app store and tried to reinstall the game. It will download but it will not install.

It lists my Kindle as compatible with the game. The error I am getting:

There was an error while installing Candy Crush Sage. Please try again.

I have shut my kindle down completely and waited 1 minute before turning it back on. Nothing has changed. The developer updated CCS on August 25, 2026.

Please help!

Hi @kwagner_51 and thank you for the details.

Your Kindle Fire 8 (12th Generation) should be compatible with Candy Crush Saga. However, because the game is not installing from the Amazon Appstore, this is something Amazon Support will need to investigate. We do not have access to the Amazon Appstore or its installation process.

Please contact Amazon Customer Service and share the installation error message you are receiving. They will be able to check what is preventing the download from installing on your Kindle.

Once the game is installed, if you experience any issues within the game itself, we will of course be happy to help.

Hi, I also have this issue and went to the Amazon App forum. The replies there said it was nothing on their end and to try the Candy Crush development team. So, it appears, no-one has an answer.
