Potential Lawsuit

I read a few players are seeking damages against Candy Crush for some of its practices. Such as, when you get a free spaceship for 5 minutes, you don't actually get 5 minutes of playtime because that time period is often eaten up with all the ads, the stupid Candy Royale pages and all the other pages/purchase promotions that you have to sift through to get back to your game. You don't actually 5 minutes. That happens with a lot of the not only free plays, but some of the ones that you Pay for also. Thoughts?

Occasionally, I never need the timed boosters. The levels that are very hard for me I don’t mind purchasing the timed boosters you get from top left side of home page. Click on the heart you get nice boosters. I can get very far.

My thoughts are that the timer of timed boosters is just an indication of how long that booster will last as a free choice. It is neither promised nor implied that you will be able to use that booster for the entirety of the indicated time.

It is similar to how the six hours of unlimited lives means you don't have to play the game continuously for six hours.

There is no basis for a lawsuit that I can see.

Furthermore the T&Cs do not allow class actions

Agreed, it's all an illusion. If the game makes one so unhappy then simply delete the game.

These are my personal thoughts on this @Kelz29:

The timed gifts given to players by events in the game are psychological tricks which are used by the app to make players speed through the game more quickly and more carelessly, and so waste gold bars, boosters and ultimately spend money. Like all events and features in the game they are not what they seem: Usually we get timed boosters at the beginning of play when we first log in. For most players this will be at the beginning of an episode. These boosters will then help us pass the first level and start the episode race. Once in the race the levels become easy to pass without boosters, so the timed boosters aren't even needed to pass them. Then by the time you reach the hardest levels near the end of the episode the timed boosters have run out. This is how the game tricks players. Essentially a five minute party popper or UFO is supposed to help you pass the one level you were apparently stuck on, no more. Everything in Candy Crush is an illusion. It's not something anyone could seek "damages" for: It's all a big marketing trick like just about everything used by companies all over the capitalist business world. It's up to players to see through the illusions and tricks used by the game. Time is in fact a strange concept in the world of Candy Crush, and not always what it seems: Some features follow the time at King's server (e.g. live leaderboard contests, weekly contest, chocolate box etc). In contrast timed boosters follow the clock as shown on your device. For this reason I no longer get angry about the time wasting pop-ups, nor do I worry if the baby starts crying or if I get an important phone call just the moment when I've earned my five minutes timed party poppers from the daily stamp. Use your wit and you won't need to seek damages.
