Lol not daft at all, but yes I knew from the videos and tips I had to try lift it and move it. Thats where the problem is as I've wasted four hand boosters (if that's what they are called) trying to move the frog but I am unable to move it. The game just will not allow me to. I seriously give up at this stage with frustration

You don't need to use the Free Switch you just need to select it once with your mouse, or just tap the frog once and you should get a message asking where you want to position the frog. Just like Colour Bombs the free switch doesn't work with the frog.

I'll give it a final try . I used to play the game to relax but this level is definitely having the opposite effect lol
