I just lost hundreds of spare lives I've accumulated over a very long period of time. I HAVE been using them, just been gathering them quicker than I use them.

I researched the topic, and all I really found was pretty much 'sucks to be you'

any other recourse?

    apparently not just all my friend's lives, all my boosters, all my gold, everything, except the level I'm on is GONE..
