@NJPegi Hi again. all i can suggest is try the standard troubleshooting tips and see if this helps
Check you device and game are upto date and log out and restart your device and then log back in and try the level again and see if it helps.
You can try customer support regarding your boosters but normally only purchased boosters are compensated, so if free boosters this would be a goodwill gesture

Kiara Wael - you said that the waffles only have 3 layers which proves my point that there is a glitch. I do not play on my phone - I play on my computer via Facebook, so there is no "App" to update. This is very frustrating - I should have been passed this level given that I used 3 lollypops on the remaining waffle.
