I can't pay for boosters. Our banking system at the moment does not allow this. All the recent levels (I'm on 2463) seem to depend on using boosters or gold to pass them. This is ridiculous game design and makes it seem like the whole point is no longer to have fun but to ensure you are always paying for the ability to move forward.
I will soon have to get rid of this game. I have been stuck on that level for 4 days now and I'm determined to pass it naturally or not at all.

@ozzyphil I hope you understand that King is a business, and businesses need to make money. No one is forcing us to buy boosters and even are events for us to collect free boosters. It is true part of the levels are hard and we cannot pass in first try without boosters. Don't forget it is a game enjoy it.

That is exactly my point. I have bought boosters and other items before. Sometimes I do this even without a real need because I believe in supporting developers, I am one myself.
However, there must be a balance. Every level or every other level cannot require some sort of paid item to clear it. Free booster items are hard to come by and take time, so I believe the difficulty must be balanced. Even difficult levels should be clearable if you try about 100 times without using specialist boosters or gold for extra turns. Unfortunately, too many levels in the game now seem to fail this basic check for me.
It's hard to enjoy something that has no path to victory that does not involve $$$$.
