Why do certain versions do certain things differently on different devices? Is there a difference if Candy Crush is played on an iPad, iPhone, or computer, and if so, why?
I see a friend playing the same game as me (Candy Crush Sega)can get extra guys and bounces just by watching short video's on his iPhone. I
can not (or don't know how) do the same on my Android phone. Is this just my phones downfall because its not as new as his phone or me not knowing how to? I mean there both mobile phones so one would think there shouldn't be that much of an advantage on an iOS phone vs Android phones.

It may be that the game app of your Android device is not updated, that is, the latest version, so you have found such a difference. Please follow the steps below and my idea is the steps will solve this difference.
Check app update - Log out game - Restart device - Open game and Log in.

I can understand having a different look on different devices but having different game rules or features should not exist just because you play on a computer vs. a phone. On iphone for example, if you come in the top 5 of space race you get a prize whereas on FB desktop, you only get prizes for first place. There is no need for those types of differences.

I saw on another thread that some levels are easier on mobile devices due to the limit in screen size. I always play on King.com or Facebook but if I get stuck it's worth to try the mobile version of the game - especially if you have a tablet.

The main reason is that these are completely different platforms. King usually make the levels for PC first, which is why FB and King.com get the updates first. Then the levels have to be converted and optimised for each Mobile and Tablet platform (iOS, Android, Windows), this can lead to slight tweaks between the two versions and why some issues affect some while not affecting others.
