I updated the game because it was suggested due to the chocolate box glitch. I still can't open that but now my season pass has disappeared. Normally I wouldn't care but i paid to unlock the gold side. What can i do about this aside from the normal troubleshooting that I've already done?

Please do the standard trouble shooting by log out, update your game application, restart your device and login, if playing through browser please clear cache/ history. And login again.
After login again whatever bonus feature you will get that is currently available in your game. Other than that, features might be temporarily unavailable as features come and go. They are not the permanent part of the game and can be replaced or unavailable at any time. Always keep your game up to date and hopefully it might return to you.
There is no fix for the Chocolate Box server issue Getindavan as it is caused by King.
Might be a daft question, but are you sure that your Season Pass hasn't disappeared because the timer has run out? Unfortunately even if you pay for the gold side you still only have a limited time to complete the event.
If you have paid money, and not just gold bars to unlock the gold pass then you might be able to get a refund through Player Support if you think the event disappeared prematurely.
In game is the only way to claim a refund Getindavan as this community is just a bunch of Candy Crushers, so can't deal with the money sidevof things.
Contacting Support through your game is also better than using the link I gave you as by doing it through your game means that Support receive your purchase history.
