Candy crush keeps resetting to furthest completed level

Every four to five visits to the main level choosing screen, Candy Crush synchronizes and resets my next level to my furthest reached level. For instance, I've completed all available levels for the android (at 980) and am now trying for three stars in previous levels. Problem is that after scrolling down to previous levels (say, 470) CC will eventually synchronize and bring me all the way back to 980, forcing me to scroll all the way down again. This gets annoying and hasn't been a problem until the last few updates to the app. I even tried disconnecting from Facebook, but the problem persisted. Any ideas on what can be done to solve this problem?
