Not receiving lives and extra moves from friends

since I updated my phone to IOS 9 and updated Candy Crush app this week, I am unable to receive extra moves and extra lives. I'm receiving notifications in Facebook that friends have sent extra lives, but when I connect to Candy Crush they are not there. I've restarted phone, uninstalled & reinstalled Candy Crush to no avail. What else can I do?
