Why is candy crush not loading on i pod?

I have downloaded candy crush on an I pod. The person that uses it does not have a facebook and is not interested in getting one. Everytime I go to play it loads to the play/connect screen and then shuts down. What do I need to do to fix this problem

Hey Heidi- you need to make sure that your device meets the following:

iOS version 6.0 or later on the following models:iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5s, iPhone 6 and later models.iPad 2 and later models.iPad Mini.iPod Touch 4th generation and later.

Check that you have the latest version of Candy Crush installed, enough spare memory. Please let me know how you get on with this :-)
