Lives not loading from friends on mobile device

For the last couples months or so I have been having serious issues with my lives loading from my Facebook friends on my mobile device.  I have lost lots of lives from uninstalling the game and reinstalling it thinking that would help. I have logged out of Facebook and logged back in again thinking this would help and it didn't. I know I have friends sending me lives since I can see the notifications on Facebook but yet when I go into the game the new lives from friends are not loaded. PLEASE HELP! This is getting extremely frustrating as I know my friends are sending me lives and they are not loading!!!
