Candy Crush Saga - The envelope that stores extra lives no longer appears. How can I get it back?

About a week ago an envelope appeared, it was saving the extra lives. I was excited about this. Now there's no envelope, the extra lives are coming in but aren't being saved. It's back to the way it used to be. Is this something new that's being worked on?

I think those are not saved on PC, meaning Facebook and King.com; there they only seem to be valid as long as you do not refresh your screen or interrupt your session.

As far as I know, these are temporarily saved on the mobile version of the game, but be careful as an update or reinstall seems to overwrite these at some stage.

From my own experience I would recommend you not to save too many for too long.
