Wrapped candy - color bomb combi have different effect now?

On candy crush saga (not soda), since NOW (Apr. 21, 2016, 10:15pm, Central Europe time), suddenly the combi of wrapped candy - color bomb appears to have changed? until now, this combination would remove all candies of the same color as the wrapped candy plus an additional (random) color. Now that combi suddenly turns all candies of the same color as the wrapped candy into wrapped candies as well (like it would do on candy soda or in both games with the striped candy).
I really don't like this new feature, is there any way to undo this or at least give us the possibility to choose between both modes?

I also have just noticed this. 10:57 pm eastern time zone. I actually think this is how it should have always been. I haven't found any other details of this.

That's how the Soda one has been since the start. It really annoyed me that the regular saga didn't do the same thing. The new update for this boost has helped so much, especially on the "clear all the jelly" levels.

I prefer it this way, I never really used this combo much before as I tended to go for the colour bomb and striped combo.
This combo should always have been this way anyhow in my opinion
