I'm almost to level 10,000, and I've spent a lot of money to get here (my husband has no idea). The reason I spent the money was simply because I really enjoyed playing the game and there were some levels that became so stressful that the only way to get past them was to spend your way out of it. I've come to think that if I ever make it to 10,000, I'll be calling it quits. Even the easy levels aren't easy. You get 20 coins for "racing" through levels that cost you probably 200 coins. Every time I check to see if there are any tips to make it easier, I find out that the level I'm playing now has less moves. I've been a sap for quite a while now. I'm done. It's no fun. It's gone beyond the challenge I used to find to the level of totally impossible without spending money. Thank you for the years I've enjoyed your game.

Why wait until level 10,000 Slimmeyer? If you aren't enjoying the game and it is causing you more stress than fun then the best thing to do would be to stop immediately.
You don't owe King anything, so don't stick it out to level 10,000 out of some false feeling of achievement. Level 10,000 is just a number has no more significance than number 9030 unless you want it to.

I really hope you can give up, but keeping secrets and saying you will give up when you reach a certain level are some of the signs of addiction.

I had decided to go to 10,000 just because it was a goal I set. I'm playing without any attempt of winning anything (so it isn't going to cost me anything). I'm spending the boosters and coins I have while looking for something else to play. It was more of an addiction when it was fun.

Ten thousand is a nice & round # there; but if you ever wondered why some features are missing from your game (or that you never got 'em in the first place, especially if you play the game on any mobile device), this is the reason.
And hey (no judgements here), your marriage is probably strong enough; but you should hope your spouse never stumbles into this website (or this particular topic).
It's disposable income, after all; as long as bills are paid & stomachs are fed, nobody should have any issues with that.
And since you'll be done @ 10K, you shouldn't be needing this guy (or anyone similar):

Not to worry - we've been married 40 years (41 this summer). We're both retired and spend our money as we wish. I enjoy playing internet games and he enjoys his massive train layout in the basement. Although I will still play from time to time (not this game, though), I'm spending more time volunteering in my community, which I must say is far more enjoyable.
