after updating from 1.71 to 1.77 today i cannot play as the screen is totally dark

I am using android lollipop / if i revert back to 1.71 i do not get levels past 1686 even the level no has black label / i could not even login to facebook bcos it would just hang when i click on text box the kbd would not come up at all

The new updates contain new levels and bug fixes so going backwards is a bad idea.

My update is as new as yesterday. I certainly dont want to go back but I am not able to play either will all black on my screen cannot see any candy anymore. My android is lollipop i.e. 5.1 and was working till yesterday till I updated. I can mail you screenshots with older as well as new version if you want
