How can I tell whether my striped candy is going to clear a line vertically or horizontally? Can anyone help?

Now that´s a good question mate. Luckily I have been able to find the answer; I actually didn´t even know this one myself.

Unable to purchase
Anyone else have an issue with the booster wheel not letting you spin? Mine says come back in xxx hours for the next spin, but the next spin never comes. I am so stuck on level 7280 and I need some booster help!!
