Why don't I have access to the King community on my tablet? It will only let me sign in via FB.

I recently switched from playing Candy Crush on my phone to my daughter's tablet after my phone died.  I logged in using my account, and aside from losing all of my boosters, everything was fine.  The only problem is that I can't sign in to the King community.  It will only allow me to sign in using Facebook, and I don't like to play on Facebook.  I like to know what the high score is, and compete with other players.  I don't know how to fix this problem.  On my phone, I always had other players to compete with and interact with.  Why is it only allowing me to log in via FB and not the other way?

    I am trying to set up my mom a new Fire tablet for Christmas and she has been playing Candy Crush on her iPhone for a while and she has a King account (doesn't use FB) when I went to sign her into the King account there was no orange button to click to sign her in said account. Am I missing something? Is there a way for me to sign her into her King account? Has an update taken this away?
