Made a purchase then Candy Crushe crashed

Made a $15.99 purchase and then Candy Crush crashed. I restarted my iPad and only the 100 gold bars appeared. I did not receive any of my boosters. So I restatred again and no change. I came to the forum and I see there is an update. I have taken screen shots but I am afraid if I update I will lose everything and never retrieve my purchased boosters.
