I was in the middle of playing, needed another life, lives suddenly went from approximately 30 to 2……….why? 😫

Couldn't say for sure @bevyb64 people might blame a poor internet connection, or lack of memory. Possibly an update to your device in the background. Problem is none of that makes sense to me as any issue along those lines should wipe all pf your lives and not just leave two of them.
Hopefully it won't happen again, but if it does try notice if anything else is going on at the same time.

Internet connection was not a problem, all updates done and loads of memory 🤷♀️

Yes @bevyb64 I was saying that other people might tell you that those things were the issue and not that they were the issue.
Overall players mysteriously losing lives has been an issue for King for years. It is that much of an issue that King are the subject of a Class Action in the USA because so many people lose lives for no reason.
