Ads after a purchase

Hello everyone,
I saw many posts in the forum about the fact that ads are gone after your first purchase in the game.
Is that true ? Are there people who have seen the ads reappear after some times ?
After 4 years playing and more than 10K levels, I decided to purchase my first starter pack last week...
Now I don't have any bonus or bonus moves ... I'm a bit desperate and I feel betrayed. Thanks for your answers, , I hope they will make me want to continue!

That must be some game bug. I see no logic in such a move and totally empathise - I'd also feel betrayed by the company. Now I consider myself lucky to not have fallen for this trap. I've already said that I'd probably not be playing if it wasn't for ads and other relatively new features. No wonder I'd stopped playing in the past - most levels before coming back weren't done from the first try. I remember trying Soda Saga - I got stuck at an early level and was so fed up that I uninstalled it and never looked back. Anyhow.
Have you reported this loss of functionality to Game Support? It must be very discouraging after years of dedication to the game.
