Issue w/sync Facebook to King: This app is currently not accessible and the app developer is aware

Hello,

I'm playing Candy Crush Saga. I am trying to sync Facebook to King.com. I follow the instructions, but I am getting a popup that says, "This app is currently not accessible, and the app developer is aware of the issue. You will be able to log in when the app is reactivated". I have checked Facebook and the app IS active. See attached screenshots.

    What device are you using?

    Have you submitted a Support ticket?

    Pretty sure it's not up to you whether the app is accessible or not. There's probably some communication issue that King gotta fix. Going to tag @QueenB totally randomly here. ☺

    What is it that you're trying to do? You have been playing with your King account and would like to sync it with your Facebook profile in order to start playing through Facebook? 🤔

    Have you tried achieving this through the game app itself? Like, log in with your King account, check if everything's there (levels and gold bars), then log out and immediately log back in but this time via Facebook on the very same device. 🙄

    Have you contacted Support? If so, what did they tell you? What about you, @lianamscott - any news?

    Hey there! Thank you for responding 😊

    I’ve been playing with my Facebook account but I don’t want my real name and picture to show up anymore so I’ve been trying to set up a King account now. In-game, when I log out of Facebook it takes me to level 1 in the game. I logged in with my King account after logging out of Facebook but it didn’t transfer my save.

    The King website shows the same error it showed for the other player, when I try to sync with Facebook it says the app is not active and the developer has been notified. I’m not sure if I can fix that, I thought I’d check here first before I contact support.in-game, there’s no option for me to log in with both Facebook and King.

    I play on iPad if that makes any difference. I tried adding my King account to the Facebook version of the game but I couldn’t find an option to do so. I’ve been trying to sync my account through my laptop, both Firefox and Chrome showed the same error,

    Hi there. The issue still occurs. I've opened a support ticket but I'm not getting much of a response. I had to send a follow up email today. I'm not confident. @OtterlyPrickly @Doondie

    How did you create your King account?

    I returned to the game half a year ago. Totally forgot how I linked my accounts but I'm pretty sure I didn't go to King's website, as I didn't even know about that possibility. Strangely, they don't send registration confirmation to your e-mail address. Anyway, my accounts got linked the first time I logged in with my King account. I don't remember whether I registered via the app first or through this website in order to join the forum. It was my first King account and it got linked to my FB profile straight away.

    I originally started playing Candy Crush via FB. I was off for a couple of years then started again a couple of months ago. All was fine but I wanted to deactivate my FB account because I'm not really using it anymore. So, I created an account on King.com, as per FAQs and followed instructions to sync my FB progress to King. That's where I'm now stuck.

    It’s exactly the same for me! Played a long time ago and picked it up again this month. I saw my name and image were showing and I wanted to change them. I followed their instructions on how to create the account and sync them with Facebook.

    How about you create a new King account but through the game app this time?

    - Start the game;

    - Log in with your FB profile (you should be logged in already though);

    - At the landing screen choose "My account" instead of "Play", then "Log out" at the bottom and confirm your choice;

    - Then "Retrieve my progress";

    - Here choose "Sign up with email" and fill in the form. I don't know if it matters but preferably use the same email address as the one for Facebook. Unless you've already used it on King's website. If so, just try with a different e-mail or first change your King email through their website, then use the old one to create a new account through the app.

    It must be frustrating not being able to use that option and getting no response from Support.

    If this is any consolation, I don't think anyone cares about your supposedly real first name, nor in-game profile picture. I personally don't pay attention to those, especially after finally learning that the Episode Race wasn't a live competition and cursing people was pointless. lmao

    Moreover, your in-game avatar is relatively small for people to see clearly, and they don't know anything about you except your first name, assuming your name on Facebook is your real name. When I created my King account, I purposely put my FB profile picture coz I like it, although or maybe because it's 10 years old when I still looked good. 😂
