It's used exactly like a lollipop hammer. Only you don't break tiles with it, but you use it when you want a candy to be striped. For example, you have a colorbomb but nothing to pair it with. So you click on the paintbrush and turn a candy that's beside the colorbomb!
Hi and Welcome to our Community
Striped brush (also known as Paintbrush) is a booster and formerly a charm in Candy Crush Saga. It is unlocked at level 37.
To activate it, one would click on a candy and it would turn said candy into a striped candy. You can choose which direction the striped candy becomes, by adjusting the mouse before clicking.

In the inventory this booster was initially a paint brush but later this booster was given to different players in different forms as a test i.e. some got it as a paint brush and some got it as a striped candy 🤗
You can actually see the paint brush in the screenshot below.
Thanks!
Need help here. I only play on an iPad and iPhone, neither has a mouse. Every time I need the paintbrush, it's turned the wrong direction. "You can choose which direction the striped candy becomes, by adjusting the mouse before clicking." Well obviously this doesn't work on my devices! Please advise how to turn the paintbrush without a mouse. I have tried clicking on and off, hoping it would turn on its own, but nada. Thanks for any help! Lynne
