How do I opt out of the striped candy contest in Candy Crush Saga?

I no longer want to compete against 29 other people from Thursday through Sunday in the stripe contest for a top 9 spot. I just want to play the REGULAR game. You have taken the FUN out of the game and just added STRESS to everyone playing! In the last couple of weeks, I have only played Candy Crush on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday just to avoid the stripe contest. I really would like to play 7 days a week. Please ELIMINATE or CHANGE the stripe contest.

I think I understand now what you are saying. When you first open the game it pops up correct? I "x" that out and then the leader board pops up and I "x" that out too. Then the next pop up is a level that it wants me to play right? Is that what you are talking about?

I’m not talking about playing an individual level. I definitely know how to “x” out an individual level.

The main screen for the stripe contest is what I’m talking about. It automatically pops up on the screen. Even if you “x” it out, you are still AUTOMATICALLY in the stripe contest. All that I want is the OPTION to play it NOT forced to play it by King or lose 15 levels if I’m not in the top 9 spots.

Are you aware that you don't have to play a level when you open it up? If you don't like the board then don't make a move and just click the "x" to close the level. You won't lose a life if you didn't make any moves at all.

Well that would be a nice idea but you are one who doesn't like it while there are many who love it. So when it pops up on your screen, just click on the "x" to get out of it and ignore it. I really and truly doubt that the King team is going to eliminate this or change this contest because you are the only person talking negative so far.

Hi everyone, The last couple of days I'm not able to watch any ads (for extra moves or lives) :( did this feature disappear? I already tried re-installing the app, but after connecting the app to fb again, I lost some cassettes and still no ads :(
Frustration
why is it you’ve basically made it impossible to pass levels unless the player pays for extra moves??? This game has become a joke! I’ve played the level I’m on about 100 times and never came close to passing if??? Is this just a money grab at this point because it 100% feels that way!!!
In app purchases
Cannot make in app purchases. Works one day then goes for weeks with “cannot connect”. I’ve tried all the suggested fixes but nothing works! King is losing money. Please fix!
